PRP Therapy

A natural method for biostimulation

WHAT IS THE PRP THERAPY OR PLATELET-RICH PLASMA?

PRP Therapy is an autologous cell regeneration technique (drawn from a blood sample from the patient). It is therefore natural and safe.

Platelets are a component of blood that contain growth factors and cytokines, among other things. These have the ability to stimulate tissue regeneration and promote healing. This restores the skin’s texture, structure, and elasticity while slowing down the aging process.
This treatment is also known as Vampire lift.

HOW DOES A PRP THERAPY WORK?

Platelets are obtained by drawing a small amount of blood and centrifuging it to extract the platelet-rich plasma. It is then re-injected very superficially into the dermis to improve the appearance of wrinkles, skin texture and reduce irregularities. It can even prevent hair loss!

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS OF PRP THERAPY?

PRP therapy allows for the following:

  • Improvement of the texture of the skin (softer and more hydrated) as well as increasing its luminosity (reduction of brown spots and redness).
  • Reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and dark circles.
  • Improvement in the appearance of acne scars.
  • Combatting of the signs of skin aging.

Ideal in both summer and winter, this 100% natural technique fights the signs of skin aging and doesn’t require any recovery period.
Possible side effects include slight redness at the injection and collection site and sometimes bruising that disappears after 10 to 14 days.
It is recommended that the patient carries out maintenance or recall treatments. You can discuss this with Dr. Bernier.

OTHER INTERVENTION OPTIONS

PRP can be used alone or in combination with micropunctions also known as Dermapen.

In conclusion, PRP therapy has both a preventive and a curative role that uses a stimulant product that is drawn from the patient. This method has been used in different medical fields such as hair loss treatment, dentistry, and sports medicine among others.
